PROVIDING COMPETENT, COMPASSIONATE CARE IN JESUS’ NAME, BRINGING HOPE, ENCOURAGEMENT, SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE AND MERCY TO THE HURTING PEOPLE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Matt. 25:35-36

CHAPLAINS

If you have a loved one who is in the hospital, under hospice care, nearing end of life, or experiencing a crisis, we would love to send a Chaplain to pray with your family and serve as a compassionate presence.

VISITATION TEAM

If you or a loved one is homebound and in need of weekly encouragement, we have a team of men and women who visit those experiencing loneliness every Monday. Please contact Jessica Gomez to be connected with this ministry.

To request a Chaplain or to learn more about receiving weekly visits, please contact Jessica Gomez.

TEMPORARY MEAL SUPPORT

Compassionate Cuisine for Christ is a team of individuals who will organize a temporary meal-train or occasionally deliver a meal to a congregant who is sick, recuperating or recently had a baby.

If you would like to encourage someone by providing an occasional meal, we encourage you to join our team! Contact Ali Hedgpeth at ali@wacc.net for more information.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE CEREMONY

One of the most difficult things a person will experience is the death of a loved one. The Congregational Care Ministry staff at Whittier Area Community Church is prepared to walk alongside you to plan and facilitate a personalized Celebration of Life ceremony that honors your loved one and provides comfort and closure. Memorial service costs can vary greatly depending on personal wishes, so in an effort to clarify and help the decision-making process, please contact WACC's memorial services coordinator Melody Tabor at mtabor@wacc.net or 562-945-4500 x 112.

If you or someone close to you has suffered a loss, we extend our deepest condolences, and yet we rejoice in the promise of eternal life we have been given through Jesus Christ.
