For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Matt. 25:35-36
The Home Visitation Team’s goal is to bring encouragement to those who can no longer join our weekly church gatherings through personal contact, prayer, scripture reading or just chatting! Home Visitation takes place Monday mornings each week.
If your heart reaches out to people who are hurting, lonely or in need, then consider joining the Home Visitation Team as we visit others weekly. This ministry is flexible and commitments can be weekly or bi-weekly. Contact Nina at email@example.com for more information.
WACC’s Chaplains visit those who are hospitalized, recuperating in a facility, at home or on hospice care to encourage, support and pray with individual and their families during the most difficult circumstances and trying times.
Compassionate Cuisine for Christ is a team of individuals who will organize a temporary meal-train or occasionally deliver a meal to a congregant who is sick, recuperating or recently had a baby.
If you would like to encourage someone by providing an occasional meal, we encourage you to join our team! Contact Judi at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
One of the most difficult things a person will experience is the death of a loved one. The Congregational Care Ministry staff at Whittier Area Community Church is prepared to walk alongside you to plan and facilitate a personalized Celebration of Life ceremony that honors your loved one and provides comfort and closure. Memorial service costs can vary greatly depending on personal wishes, so in an effort to clarify and help the decision-making process, costs for services and personnel are listed below. If you or someone close to you has suffered a loss, we extend our deepest condolences, and yet we rejoice in the promise of eternal life we have been given through Jesus Christ.
