Mark Statema currently serves on Young Life Staff as Senior Area Developer- Trainer for both YL Global Cities (international) and YL Major Cities (US). In both roles, his goal is to help Young Life staff, volunteers and students thrive in the largest and most influential cities around the world. He has had a number of roles in the mission over his almost 30 years on YL staff including Area Director, Area Developer and Regional Director in both Washington State and California. He has a BA in Spanish and a masters in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. His passion is for health and growth in every part of the Young Life ministry, from club to committee to fundraising, and that it would be done with excellence and with strong local adult ownership. Mark and his wife Ericka live in Whittier, CA and parent two young adults.
